HORNCHURCH GARDEN DESIGNEssex
A busy professional lady with two retired greyhounds wanted to keep the basic structure of the garden, but it needed to be more dog friendly and also upgraded to compliment the large impressive 1930’s house. One thing she particularly wanted was something designed to be a focal point on the plain wall at the bottom of the garden. I walked around her house and realised she loved shoes, purple, and mosaic, I designed and made the 4 foot high stiletto heeled shoe in purple mosaic and mirror. The design is bold with a wide stepped path and raised bed sleeper walls with lit purple glass bricks, and the shrubs with bark mulch and artificial grass make it low maintenance. We restored the existing patio and deck which had interesting wrought iron railings around it with three inch circles in it, I had a stained glass artist friend cut purple glass circles which we installed into the wrought iron.
