ROMFORD FRONT GARDEN DESIGN
Essex
Retired lady wanted a low maintenance front garden that also gave her a lot more parking for when her friends and family visited. She was very keen to reuse a lot of materials. We removed the front concrete path, gate posts and curves from the wall, this gave us enough bricks to fill the gateway. We lifted the block paving, cleaned them then used them to edge the extended shrub border and driveway, then laid an area of hard standing in front of the house. Planted a selection of additional plants including some in pots on stepping stones. The rest of the driveway is compacted MOT type 1 covered with a pocketed membrane called CedaGravel which holds the loose gravel in a very solid driveway but still allows water to dissipate.
